468 tube-tagged records — a higher tube share than McIntosh, Krell, or any other major brand in the corpus. Output tubes and small-signal tubes age at different rates, and the Luxman conversation reflects that: most of it is about tube choice, matching, and what replacement sounds right in an MB-series or CL-series circuit.
Bias matters less than you'd think

The design reason is the interesting part: most of the classic Luxman tube amplifiers run cathode or auto-bias topologies, so the maintenance conversation centers on tube selection rather than re-biasing.
