E-bike & e-scooter prices
$49 to find out what is actually wrong. The fix is one flat quote, approved before anything starts.
Diagnosis
$49Bench test and a straight answer: controller, display, throttle, wiring, charger, or pack. Free when you approve the repair, and you pay nothing if it is not worth fixing.
Controllers & displays
Quoted after diagnosisNo power, error codes, dead display, assist cutting out. We repair the board when it can be repaired and quote the swap honestly when it cannot.
Throttles & sensors
Quoted after diagnosisThumb and twist throttles, cadence and torque sensors, brake cut-offs. The no-go and the stutter usually trace to one of these.
Wiring & connectors
Quoted after diagnosisChafed harnesses, corroded or water-ingressed connectors, dodgy splices from a previous "fix". Repaired properly, sealed, and routed so it stays fixed.
Chargers & charging faults
Quoted after diagnosisCharger dead, port loose, or the battery management system refusing charge. We load-test before telling you which of the three it is, so you never buy a charger you didn't need.
Battery packs with dead cells
Referred outThe one thing we don't do yet: rebuilding packs takes a spot welder and a fire-safe bench we don't have, so dead-cell packs go to a specialist. We test whether the pack is even the problem first. That line is where it is today, and we would rather tell you than guess.
The four ways these rides die
E-bikes and scooters fail in patterns. Every one of them is cheaper to fix than to replace.
Dead display, no power
Usually the controller or its connectors, not the whole ride. The pack is often fine; we prove which part is guilty before anything is ordered.
Error codes
A code is a clue, not a verdict. Most map to a sensor, a connector, or a throttle, and the manual for your system tells us which. The diagnosis reads the code instead of guessing.
Charger never lights up
Three suspects: the charger, the charge port, or the battery management system refusing charge. We load-test in that order, because the cheapest part is the usual culprit.
Throttle no-go after rain
Water got into a connector or the throttle itself. Dried, cleaned, re-sealed, and routed away from the splash line, it stays fixed.
Three ways in
However the fault reaches the bench, the quote comes before the work.
Drop off the ride, or ship the parts
- 01Bring the whole ride. 2224 Sunrise Dr, Longmont · Mon–Fri 9–6, Sat–Sun 10–3. Rolling or in a trunk, either way. Tape the battery terminals before transport.
- 02Ship the parts, not the bike. Most faults live in a controller, display, charger, or harness. Get an RMA number online and we tell you which box to send; diagnosis within 24 hours of arrival.
- 03Start online. The repair wizard gives a first-pass assessment any hour, and the AI receptionist answers the phone around the clock. A human follows up.
What we don't do
Scope stated plainly, so you know before you book.
Honest limits
- No battery pack rebuilds. Packs with dead cells are referred out until our bench process exists. Rebuilding them safely takes a spot welder and a fire-safe work area, and we will not pretend to have either. We test whether the pack is even the fault first.
- No dealer-software unlocks. A few systems are locked to their maker's diagnostic tools. If yours is one, the diagnosis tells you straight before you spend anything on the attempt.
- No repair-avoiding part swaps. If a $4 connector fixes the ride, we don't quote a controller.

Straight answers
Diagnosis is $49 and free when you approve the repair. After diagnosis you get one flat quote for the fix and you approve it before any work starts.
No, not yet. Packs with dead cells are referred out until our bench process exists: safe rebuilding needs a spot welder and a fire-safe bench, and we will not fake either. We test whether the pack is actually the problem first, because a dead-looking ride is often a controller, connector, or charger. If that changes someday, this page is where it will say so.
Yes. Same electronics, same bench: controllers, displays, throttles, wiring, and chargers on stand-up scooters and seated rides alike.
The electronics side of most brands. A few mid-drive systems are locked to dealer diagnostic software; if yours is one, the diagnosis tells you straight before you spend anything.
Ship the parts, not the bike. Get an RMA number online, we tell you which box to send, and we diagnose within 24 hours of arrival. Drop-off in Longmont works for the whole ride.
Usually worth fixing. A controller or display fault is a fraction of a replacement ride, and these get landfilled every day for a part worth tens of dollars. The diagnosis ends with a straight answer either way.
Most jobs turn around in one to three days. If a part has to be ordered, the quote says so with the shipping time included.
Repairs carry a 90-day labor warranty. Replacement parts carry their manufacturer's warranty, and the quote states which is which.
Don't landfill a fixable ride.
