A key that stopped firing, or fires twice, is nearly always key contact wear. It is cleaned or replaced where the part is obtainable, and the difference is stated in the quote before you approve.

The battery behind your sounds has a lifespan measured in decades, and it ends quietly. Replaced before it leaks, your patches stay. Already too late? The diagnosis says honestly what the cleanup costs.
Powers up but stays silent
Silence with lights on is a supply-versus-voice-board question, and guessing it wrong is how instruments get double-billed. The supply is tested first, in order, before any board is quoted.

Honest limits, said first
- Parts reality before commitment. Some vintage parts are no longer available anywhere. The diagnosis identifies what failed and tells you what is obtainable before you commit repair money to a dead end.
- No OS or firmware mods. Repairs restore the maker's design: no custom firmware, no unlocked features the maker never shipped. If what you want changes what the instrument is, that is a mod-bench project, not a repair.
- No repair-avoiding part swaps. If a cleaned contact fixes it, we don't quote a board.
