Phone & tablet repair pricing

The published menu, flat labor plus the part quoted up front, and the part cost is on the quote.

Battery

$59–$99 Basic, plus battery; OEM-grade quoted

Phone or tablet not holding charge. Basic aftermarket or OEM-grade where a good one exists; both prices per model are on the quote, and the part cost is shown.

Charge port

$69–$129

Loose, intermittent, or dead port. We repair at the board, not a port swap, and lint is ruled out first.

Camera repair

$69–$129 Plus module

Front or rear camera: black, spotted, or out of focus. The module is the quoted part; the board work is ours.

Speaker / mic

$59–$99 Plus part

Muffled speaker or dead mic. The replacement part is quoted at cost before anything starts.

Water damage diagnosis

$49

The phone took a swim. We open it, clean it, and test what actually survived before promising anything, and data is flagged before anything touches it. Free when you approve the repair.

Options, plainly

Every screen and battery job has a part choice. Both are quoted per model, and you pick before anything starts.

Basic aftermarket

A third-party panel or pack built for your model, and the cheapest good option. For many models it is all most people need. Where the aftermarket supply for a model is weak, we say so instead of fitting the cheapest thing that lights up.

OEM-grade

An original or original-specification part, where a good one exists for your model. It costs more, and the quote carries both numbers side by side, so the choice is yours, not ours by default.

Nothing is hidden. Labor, the part, and which grade it is sit on the same quote at cost, and nothing changes after you approve it.

What actually fails

Phones and tablets fail in patterns. These are the four we see weekly.

Cracked and dead screens

Glass cracks and displays die. Where a good panel exists for the model, both part choices are on the quote; where the screen costs more than the device is worth, the diagnosis says so and the diagnosis is free.

Batteries that swell or die

A swelling battery is a safety flag, not a quirk. It comes out and is replaced and load-tested, and the device is proven through a full charge cycle before it goes home.

Loose or intermittent charge ports

It charges only at an angle, or not at all. Lint is ruled out first, then the port is repaired at the board. A wholesale board swap for a port fault is not on this bench.

Liquid damage

Rice does not fix corrosion. We open, clean, and test before promising anything, and your data is flagged and protected before any work touches the board.

Had a phone repair fail somewhere else?

It happens more than it should: the screen was swapped and the board work was not, or the fix held until the week after the warranty did. Bring us the repair that failed and we will show you what actually happened inside.

We open it and photograph what we find

Before any work: what the last repair did, what the board and connectors look like now, and what it actually needs. You see the photos and a plain-language report.

The number does not move

If we find extra damage, you get a call before anything changes. The quote you approved does not creep because someone else's work did.

Board-level, not a swap

Cold joints, lifted pads and cracked port anchors are repaired at the board. That is the step a hurry-up swap skips, and it is why the same failure comes back.

Bring the old receipt or quote if you have it; it helps us see what was promised and what was done. Diagnosis is $49 and free when you approve the repair.

Three ways in

However the phone reaches the bench, the quote comes before the work.

Book a drop-off, ship it in, or start online

  1. 01Book a drop-off. 2224 Sunrise Dr, Longmont · Mon–Fri 9–6, Sat–Sun 10–3, plus pickup and drop-off by appointment outside bench hours (6–8am early, 6–9pm evening). Bring the phone and its charger; the charger rules out half the charging suspects in the first hour.
  2. 02Ship it in. Anywhere in the U.S.: get an RMA number online, pack it well, and we diagnose within 3–5 business days of arrival and email a flat quote. A phone travels fine in a padded box.
  3. 03Start online. The repair wizard gives a first-pass assessment any hour, and the AI receptionist answers the phone around the clock. A human follows up.

What we don't do

Scope stated plainly, so you know before you book.

Lines we hold

  • No activation-lock, iCloud, or factory-reset bypasses. We repair the device you own, not its login; a locked phone needs its owner's credentials first.
  • No work on devices reported lost or stolen. Ownership is established at intake, same as any bench.
  • No data promises on dead boards. Your data is flagged before anything touches the device, and we tell you straight when a board is past saving it.
  • No carrier or insurance claim filing. The paperwork is yours; the repair is ours.
  • No manufacturer warranty work. A device still under maker warranty belongs with the maker, where the work is free rather than with us where it is not.

Straight answers

How much does phone or tablet repair cost?

Screens run $79 to $199, batteries $59 to $99, charge ports $69 to $129, camera repairs $69 to $129 plus the module, and speaker or mic work $59 to $99 plus the part. Water damage diagnosis is $49. The diagnosis is free when you approve the repair, and every fix is one flat quote approved before any work starts.

What is the difference between a basic aftermarket part and an OEM-grade part?

A basic aftermarket part is a third-party panel or pack built for your model, and it is the cheapest good option. An OEM-grade part is an original or original-specification component, where a good one exists for your model. Both are quoted per model with the part cost shown, so the choice is yours, not ours by default.

Do you replace the whole board when a charge port fails?

No. Lint is ruled out first, because a packed port behaves exactly like a dead one. Then the port is repaired at the board, $69 to $129. A wholesale board swap for a port fault skips the joint work, which is why the same failure comes back.

Can I mail my phone in?

Yes, from anywhere in the U.S. Get an RMA number online, pack the phone well, and we email you the day the box lands. Diagnosis runs 3 to 5 business days from arrival, then you get a flat quote by email. Shipping runs both ways at our FedEx rate with no markup.

How long does a repair take?

Most single-part repairs are done the next bench day after you approve the quote. Ship-ins add transit time and the diagnosis window: 3 to 5 business days from arrival. The turnaround is written into the quote before you approve it.

Do I need an appointment?

Drop-offs are by appointment during shop hours: Mon–Fri 9–6, Sat–Sun 10–3 at 2224 Sunrise Dr, Longmont, with pickup and drop-off outside bench hours by arrangement. Call any hour and the AI receptionist answers, and a human follows up. Or start with the repair wizard online.
