Computer repair, with the price on the page.
Tune-ups, virus removal, upgrades, data moving and setup. The service counter at a big-box store keeps "pricing" in the heading and the number behind the counter — usually after a paid diagnostic you have to buy before anyone will quote you. Here is the number, before you drive over. One technician, not a queue.
Tune-up $99 · Virus removal $79 · SSD upgrade $99 + parts · RAM $79 + parts · Data rescue $149 · New-computer setup $149 · Small jobs from $25
The full table is one screen down. Nothing is billed hourly.
Why the price is on the page
Because the alternative is being told the number after you have already handed over the machine.
A published price is a promise
It means the bench knows what the job takes before it sees your machine, and that it will not grow once your files are sitting on our shelf. If a job turns out to be rarer than expected, the quote says so before we start, not after.
The diagnosis is credited, not charged
Diagnosis is $49, and it comes off the bill the moment you approve the repair. If the machine is not worth fixing, that diagnosis is free — and we tell you that plainly rather than quoting a repair you should not buy.
One technician, not a counter queue
Tune-ups, virus removal, transfers and setups are usually same-day for a drop-off, because the same person who looks at it is the person who fixes it. No membership, no bundled antivirus subscription, no upsell at pickup.
A slow computer has three common causes and they cost different amounts: a full or cluttered drive is a tune-up, a tired mechanical hard drive is an SSD upgrade, and not enough memory is a RAM upgrade. The $49 diagnosis tells you which one you have — and it is free when you approve the repair, so you are never paying to find out that you do not need the expensive one.

The jobs people actually come in with
If yours is on this list, the price above is the price.
"It's so slow."
$49 diagnosis, then one of three fixesA full drive is a tune-up at $99. A tired mechanical hard drive is an SSD upgrade at $99 plus the drive. Not enough memory is a RAM upgrade at $79 plus the module. We tell you which one before you spend the money.
Pop-ups, browser hijacked, "your PC is infected"
$79Junk, spyware and malware removed, then the security settings checked so it does not walk straight back in. If the infection ate files, the data rescue is a separate conversation and we will tell you before you buy it.
New laptop, old laptop, everything in between
$49 transfer · $149 full setupFiles moved across and organised, or the whole job: accounts signed in, programs installed, printer and email working, handed back ready to use. This is the job the big counters charge extra for at pickup.
"Can you get my photos off this?"
$149 rescue · $49 transferIf the drive still reads, yes. If it is clicking, dead or not detecting, that is clean-room territory and we refer it out rather than take your money — the diagnosis tells you which one you have.
It's full / it's loud / it's hot
$49 clean · repaste quoted with itTeardown, dust out of the fan and heatsink, and a straight answer on whether the thermal paste needs doing while it is open. A big-box cleaning tier explicitly excludes repasting; ours quotes it in the same job.
Wi-Fi dies in the back room
$49 check · $35 router setupSignal strength and dead zones measured, then the boring fixes: channels, placement, firmware, a guest network. If the answer is "you need another access point," we say that instead of selling you nothing.
What we don't do
A published price only means something if the scope next to it is honest.
Straight about the edges
- No lab data recovery. A physically failed, clicking or non-detecting drive needs a clean room we do not have. We refer it out, and we tell you before you pay us anything.
- No Apple or manufacturer warranty work. If your machine is still covered, authorised repair is free and we are not authorised, so we will point you at it rather than charge you for the same job.
- No in-home networking projects. Router setup and Wi-Fi checks, yes. Wiring a house, no.
- We will not sell you a repair the machine does not need. If the honest answer is replace it, the diagnosis is free and you get that answer.
- Hardware we cannot source, we say so up front. The quote carries the parts at cost, so an unobtainable part is a conversation, never a surprise line item.
How it goes
Diagnosis first, then one itemized quote. You approve before anything starts.
The five steps
- 01Book a drop-off or mail it in. Longmont by appointment — call or text to set a time — or ship it from anywhere in the U.S. We email you the day a box lands.
- 02Diagnose. $49, free when you approve the repair. We find the actual fault rather than guess at the symptom, and we tell you whether it is worth fixing at all.
- 03One itemized quote. Flat labour and parts at cost, with the turnaround written into it. No hourly meter, no additions after you approve.
- 04The work. One technician for the whole job. Tune-ups, removals, transfers and setups are usually same-day for a drop-off.
- 05Tested and handed back. You get the machine working, and the failure it had documented. Watch it the whole way on the tracking page.
Mail it in, from anywhere
A laptop travels well. Pack it flat, tape the charger to the lid, and it arrives fine.
The same prices, no local requirement
You do not have to be in Colorado for any of this. The bench is one machine deep, which is exactly why it does not need you standing in front of it.
- →Return shipping is included up to 15 lbs packed; heavier tiers are a flat rate quoted before we ship.
- →Diagnosis starts the day the box arrives, and you get an email the moment it lands.
- →Nothing gets billed until you approve the quote, so a machine you decide not to fix costs you the diagnosis and the trip home.
Computer repair questions
The things people ask before they carry a machine in.
Straight answers
The prices are on this page. A tune-up is $99, virus and malware removal is $79, a data rescue is $149, an SSD upgrade is $99 plus parts, a RAM upgrade is $79 plus parts, a new-computer setup is $149, and small jobs start at $25. The diagnosis is $49 and it is free when you approve the repair and free if the machine turns out not to be worth fixing. Nothing is billed hourly and no price changes after you approve it.
Slow has three common causes and they cost different amounts. A full drive or years of accumulated software is a tune-up at $99. A failing or full mechanical hard drive is an SSD upgrade at $99 plus the drive, which is the single biggest speed change you can buy on an older laptop. Not enough memory is a RAM upgrade at $79 plus the module. The $49 diagnosis tells you which one you have before you spend anything, and if the honest answer is that the machine is not worth it, that diagnosis is free.
Two things. First, the price is published here instead of quoted after a paid diagnostic. Second, one technician does the work rather than a service counter queue, so a tune-up is usually a same-day job rather than a two-to-three day one. We do not sell memberships, we do not bundle an antivirus subscription into the price, and the diagnosis is credited rather than charged on top.
Yes, on the service side: tune-ups, drive and memory work on the models where those are serviceable, data transfer, backup setup, software and setup problems. What we do not do is Apple authorised warranty repair, so a machine still under AppleCare or manufacturer warranty goes to an authorised provider where the work is free rather than to us where it is not. Bring it in and we will tell you which one you are.
If the drive still reads, yes, and moving files to a new machine is $49 for a straight transfer or part of the $149 new-computer setup. If the drive is dead, clicking, or not detecting at all, that is lab data recovery and we refer it out rather than pretend, because a lab with a clean room is the only thing that recovers a physically failed drive. The diagnosis tells you which one you have before you commit.
Yes, and laptops travel well. Mail-in is welcome from anywhere in the United States, return shipping is included up to 15 lbs packed, and the tracking page carries the status from the day the box lands. Desktops travel too but are worth packing properly; if you are unsure, call first and we will tell you how to box it.
Tune-ups, virus removal, setup and transfer work are usually same-day for a drop-off. Upgrades depend on the part being in hand or ordered, and the quote tells you the turnaround before you approve it. Mail-in adds shipping both ways and the diagnosis starts the day the box arrives.
We do not do lab data recovery on physically failed drives, we do not do Apple or manufacturer authorised warranty work, we do not do in-home networking beyond the setup jobs listed on this page, and we will not sell you a repair a machine does not need. If the honest answer is that you should replace it, the diagnosis is free and we will say so.
Wondering whether the machine is worth fixing at all? The fix-or-replace take on aging gear covers the math, and the calculator does it for your specific machine.
